Tour of Moyaland in Second Life

The theme of the current MOOC is “Connecting in Virtual Worlds. Communities of Practice” There is a plethora of communities in virtual worlds promoting education and learning through connecting online via web technologies such as Second Life. The MOOC will focus on connecting online for collaborative learning and teaching around the world through virtual worlds like Second Life, Digiworldz, Kitely, Minecraft, or OpenSim.

The MOOC and the live online classes are organized and coordinated by Dr. Nellie Deutsch, Dr. Doris Molero, Dr. Valerie Hill, and Ann Nowak. You may contact the organizers for further information and support.

VWMOOC21 is for educators, schools, and public and private businesses that wish to provide training in virtual worlds. Weekly badges and a final certificate of completion will be available for free.

Cyber Carnaval de Moya en collaboration avec le Carnaval de Nice

un résumé de la soirée du 26 février 2021. "Le cyber carnaval de Moya réunit des internautes des cinq continents connectés depuis leurs ordinateurs via leurs avatars. Tous participent à une parade virtuelle sur une reproduction 3D de la place Masséna, dans l'univers de l'artiste sur Second Life." Cette année le Cyber Carnaval fête ses 12 ans dans un contexte très particulier puisque le Carnaval réel est annulé. Le Cyber carnaval est réalisé en collaboration avec le Carnaval de Nice, la ville de Nice et le Centre d’Arts et de Culture de l'Artistique. Ce Carnaval 2021 réunit quelques participants historiques de cet évènements : l'association américaine Virtual Ability, l'Instituto Español second life avec un char du Carnaval de Mazatlan et un groupe de "Comparsa", des éducateurs qui utilisent les mondes virtuels avec la Salem School Landschulheim, Aneli Abeyante et Chapichapo Delvalle en exposition sous les arcades. La soirée était animée par DJ Raven SounDDoll. Cette année le Studio Moya s'est associé avec la Buildeuse Kamerina Kamala pour la mise en lumière, la régie et la construction 3D des décors et des personnages et avec le scripteur Menthal Oh pour la programmation des déplacements des chars et des personnages et les conseils. Merci à Second Life pour avoir partagé l'évènement et à ceux qui ont partagé des films et les photos de la soirée. Merci à la communauté japonaise très présente malgré l'heure matinale pour eux et qui avait son propre direct sur la chaine Niconico.
